Welcome to the Houston Academy of Dramatic Arts, a conservatory designed to encourage the novice and inspire the experienced. The Houston Academy of Dramatic Arts' programs are designed to develop the range of skills necessary in a profession which makes varied demands. The conservatory encourages the development of flexibility and versatility, enabling actors to move with confidence between classical and modern theatre, film, and television. What sets HADA apart from other conservatories?

HADA encourages students to participate in professional auditions. We maintain a call board with information on all auditions nationwide, helping students to apply learning NOW.

While HADA is theater based like most conservatories, we also train in film, television, and commercials. |

We teach the business side of “show business:” dealing with agents, managers, lawyers, and contracts; money and tax management for actors; networking techniques. |

HADA is the only dramatic conservatory in Houston offering voice and movement training designed for use in the business and corporate arena to improve skills needed in public speaking, meetings, networking, etc.

"I would like to give all praises to the Academy teachers. Thanks to them I was able to utilize the proper skills in the Mike Jones Movie “American Dream”. I have benefited the most by taking the improv class. It has helped me in auditions as well as in everyday life. The thing that I loved the most about the Academy is that I received one on one training. The teachers are there to train and teach the students, not to get a paycheck."
